 The SDIA Professional Program replaced the SDIA Accreditation Program as of 1 October 2008.
The SDIA Professional Program comprises of 3 Accreditations, 2 of which are mandatory ‘Core’ Accreditations. Candidates choose their third ‘Elective’ Accreditation from a range of topics, which currently include ‘Derivatives’ and ‘Superannuation’. The ‘Institutional’ Elective Accreditation will commence in 2009.
Semesters are 12-14 weeks long and there are 6 semesters per year into which you may enroll. This means that you have the opportunity to enrol into the course every 2 months.
Exam dates and assignment dates are also pre-determined.

For those requiring ASIC RG 146 status (in generic and specialist knowledge and skills in Securities & Managed Investments), and who would previously have enrolled into the SDIA Accreditation Program, you should now enrol into the “Core 1 – Securities & Managed Investments Accreditation.
Exemptions apply to those who have already completed the SDIA Accreditation Program, the ASX ADA 1 exam, and the SDIA/RMIT Superannuation Module.
Upon successful completion of the SDIA Professional Program, candidates will be awarded the Professional Diploma in Securities & Derivatives.
