• The following item has been released by The Hon Chris Pearce MP, Parliamentary Secretary to the Treasurer: 'The Regulation of Financial Services and Markets: Getting the Balance Right', address to the 2005 SDIA Conference [04/06/2005]

• On 2 May 2005, the Parliamentary Secretary to the Treasurer, the Hon Chris Pearce MP, released a proposals paper on Refinements to Financial Services Regulation. The paper sets out proposals to refine aspects of financial services regulation, which was introduced by the Financial Services Reform Act 2001 and is now contained in Chapter 7 of the Corporations Act 2001.
